High Farm is a lovely Victorian farmhouse, initially built in 1873 as a gentlemans residence. It has been sympathetically converted to offer, close to Pickering, bed & breakfast rooms of the very best standard.
From its elevated position on the edge of the Village of Cropton, the house overlooks the beautiful countryside of the area with the moors providing the perfect backdrop.
From the moment that you arrive and receive that warm Yorkshire welcome, right through to the moment you wave a fond farewell, you are assured the very best that any of the Pickering bed & breakfast businesses have to offer.

If you want a truly warm and friendly welcome for a stay in the North Yorkshire Moors then High Farm would be hard to beat. From the moment we were greeted on the drive by Stephen we were all friends. His wife Ruth runs the B & B and here is a Yorkshire lady who knows how to look after her guests in a wonderfully heart-warming way without being overbearing. I can honestly say that this is one of the most enjoyable B & B stays that we have ever had. All this in such beautiful and awe-inspiring countryside with the Moors on your doorstep, the coast and historic houses just a few miles away and the famous Cropton Brewery at The New Inn just a stroll away from High Farm...
There are two double en-suite bedrooms available each with it's own character and view of the grounds.
Colour TV & tea making facilities are available in each room and there is central heating throughout.
Standing in it's own grounds, the house has an extensive 2 acre garden area fully available for Guests use & enjoyment.
Full of many varieties of trees, shrubs, roses the gardens are the perfect place in which to enjoy the tranquility that the countryside has to offer.
Cropton is a pretty unspoilt village and is ideally placed in central Ryedale for easy access to the moors, coast and York.
Take in the stunning scenery from our field containing the site of Cropton's Motte & Bailey Castle and see the abundance of wild flowers and grasses in our SSSI site.
Turn off the A170 for Wrelton, Cropton is signposted from this point.
On entering Cropton take the first right after the New Inn and follow the main street.
High Farm is on the right just as you are about to leave the village again.
There is a High Farm B&B sign at the roadside.
